Zero Server Upload Guarantee (100% On-Device Processing)Unlike cloud photo editors, ShopStudio executes all AI subject background cutouts and EXIF metadata scrubbing entirely on your local Android device using Google ML Kit. Your photos are never uploaded to any remote server or third-party cloud. The app works 100% offline.

01.Developer Entity & Scope

ShopStudio: Product Photo & BG is developed, maintained, and operated by Aspect Byte. This privacy policy applies strictly to the Android application distributed on Google Play under package identifier com.aspectbyte.shopstudio.

By installing or using ShopStudio, you agree to the practices outlined in this policy.

02.Image Data Handling & On-Device Processing

When you select or take a photo inside ShopStudio:

  • Local Neural Segmentation: Photos are passed to an on-device neural network (Google ML Kit Subject Segmentation) compiled locally into the app.
  • No Cloud Transmissions: Photos never leave your device storage. They are not transmitted across the internet, logged on remote servers, or shared with third parties.
  • Temporary In-Memory Cache: Intermediate image buffers are kept in transient local memory and automatically cleared when you exit the editor or close the application.

03.Android Device Permissions We Use

ShopStudio requests only permissions strictly necessary for its advertised photo editing functionality:

CAMERA (`android.permission.CAMERA`)
Used solely when you tap "Take Photo" to capture a new product photo directly inside the app.
STORAGE & MEDIA (`READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE` / Photo Picker)
Used to choose product photos from your gallery for editing and to save exported HD studio cards and cleaned photos back to your device storage.
ADVERTISING ID (`com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID`)
Used exclusively by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements in accordance with Google Play developer policies.
Explicitly Blocked Permissions: ShopStudio explicitly blocks audio recording (`RECORD_AUDIO`), media audio/video access, and overlay windows (`SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW`). We do not access contacts, microphones, or continuous background GPS location.

05. Data Retention & Deletion Instructions

No Account Required: ShopStudio does not require you to create an account, register an email, or log in. Because we do not store your user profile or photos on cloud servers:

  • Your photos reside entirely in your personal device gallery and local app sandbox.
  • Any saved shop branding preferences (Shop Name, WhatsApp number, or local presets) are stored strictly inside your phone's encrypted local MMKV storage.
How to delete all app data:
  1. Go to your Android phone's Settings > Apps > ShopStudio > Storage > Clear Data / Clear Cache.
  2. Alternatively, uninstalling the app permanently purges all local app data and preferences from your device.

06.Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

ShopStudio is intended for e-commerce vendors, online sellers, and general audiences. It is not directed towards children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13.
